What is the best format to entice users to sign up for a service?
Ancestry.com has the largest collection of family records. When Ancestry approached me to create a solution to their current acquisition structure, they were looking for a more visual representation to show users the enormity of their collection.
Metrics showed us that most users arrived at the "family facts" page through a Google search to learn their family history.

Shorten the flow
Enticing potential users to sign up for access to the Ancestry.com database involved shortening the sign-up flow. The existing landing page involved an accordian menu that required people to decide on topic headings, thus increase the interaction.
I proposed we show samples of the data on the landing page, so help provide a sense of the breadth Ancestry had to offer.
